The University of Pittsburgh in the Mechanicsburg location is seeking a qualified Administrative Assistant. The incumbent will be responsible for providing professional customer service, administrative, and technical support to the staff of the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Resource Center (Resource Center). The Administrative Assistant functions as a team member of the Administrative Department of the Resource Center. Duties include providing administrative support and assistance to the assigned department manager(s), supervisor(s), and staff.

Candidates must also attach a cover letter and resume. PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment. The Child Welfare Resource Center operates in a hybrid work approach where work can be completed remotely, in the Mechanicsburg office, and in the field as necessary and appropriate. Time for this position is estimated as 5% remote work, 90% in the Mechanicsburg office, and 5% in the field. Typical field travel required will be statewide throughout the Commonwealth. High school diploma/GED and completion of certificate in office operations and/or secretarial/business curriculum required. A minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative field required. A combination of equivalent experience and education will be considered for University guidelines. Must have excellent professional customer service, communication, interpersonal, writing, and computer skills. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds. A valid driver's license is required. Experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse populations preferred. A commitment to achieving equity and inclusion in the child welfare system is a must.
