The Lincoln Journal Star is now accepting applications for our upcoming full-time paid spring Photo/Video intern position, which begins in early January of 2023 and runs through mid-May. While working with a seasoned, professional photo/video team, we want our interns to experience a rewarding, real-world newsroom experience and further develop skills in producing compelling visual content for our print and digital audiences. The intern in this role will cover assigned stories to produce visual content and stories for publication on our website, newspaper, and social media platforms.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about visual journalism, takes initiative, and is creative, flexible, and reliable. The ability to multi-task, work under deadline, effectively communicate and to produce visual stories utilizing a variety of equipment and software programs are musts. Current or recently graduated college students are preferred. Working outside, sometimes in extreme weather situations in addition to having reliable transportation and a valid driver's license is required.
