FINANCIAL ASSISTANT, Office of Strategic Alliances and Technology Transfer (OSATT)-Technology Licensing Office (TLO), to provide general financial assistance in the dynamic and fast-paced office of the TLO finance team. The responsibilities will include receiving, processing, and filing royalty reports; providing financial services to and filing diligence (progress and revenue) reports from licensees; assisting with receivable (A/R) collections for the TLO by reaching out to licensees; working with the financial coordinator to establish the best ways to approach the collection of delinquent accounts and with the royalty distribution and equity coordinator to assist with locating missing inventors for royalty payments; assisting the intellectual property (IP) billing coordinator with filing a high volume of legal invoices; interacting with TLO staff and the MIT Cashier Office; and performing related duties as required.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years of experience in accounting or finance; excellent organizational, and verbal and written communication skills; meticulous attention to detail; good working knowledge of Excel and ability to quickly learn additional software programs; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, work independently and as part of a team, and effectively interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. PREFERRED: bachelor’s degree in a related field and knowledge of SAP. Job #22726-5
