Description: The Department of Philosophy at Princeton University may have occasional openings for Lecturers to teach either an undergraduate course or precepts for undergraduate courses during the 2024-2025 academic year. These courses may focus on areas such as ethics, logic, history of philosophy, and introductory philosophy. Serving in a preceptor capacity requires leading weekly discussions, attending course lectures, meeting with the course instructor(s), holding regular on-campus office hours, and grading student exams and papers. Appointment duty time will depend upon student enrollment, and positions are expected to begin September 1, 2024, or January 16, 2025, depending on the needs of the department.
