This role requires a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices, patient management, and the ability to work collaboratively within a clinical setting.

Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal treatments for patients.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ oral health, including taking medical histories and reviewing medical records.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety during procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in the management of dental records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with legal requirements.
- Operate dental equipment and tools efficiently while adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide exceptional patient care.
- Utilize Dentrix software for scheduling, documentation, and record management.
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health, as well as infection control practices.
- Familiarity with dental coding and documentation review processes is preferred.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative in individual responsibilities.
