South Boston serves a citizenry of under 8,000 residents in an area of about 12 square miles.  The town houses the majority of businesses in Halifax County including the High School, Middle School,  and an elementary school in its boundaries.  Our town offers an excellent opportunity for career advancement within multiple departments.  We have many areas of growth and opportunities for families in our region.  The town is progress and preservation in hometown Virginia.
