Job Summary

The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine seeks an Advanced Practice Provider ( APP) to provide patient care in the Anesthesia Preoperative Assessment Clinic.

The Pre-Op Clinic sees patients who are scheduled for surgery at UK Healthcare. This position works in close collaboration with the Clinic Medical Director.
The successful candidate will evaluate patients at the Anesthesia Preoperative Assessment Clinic who are scheduled for surgery at UK Healthcare hospital in order to assess their risk for anesthesia and determine potential strategies for patient optimization.

The APP needs to obtain patient health histories, review outside records and perform complete physical examinations.

Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests and providing timely documentation in medical records and appropriate narrative summaries including pertinent normal and abnormal findings, assessment and plan are required. This position will directly supervise other APP positions.
