Job Description

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling to children living in the St. Louis County area using Play Therapy Interventions. Services are provided on an outpatient basis at UMSL or via telehealth.
  • Follow protocols for client assessment and progress monitoring for clinical goals.
  • Provide regular consultation with caregivers for family support.
  • Provide supervision and case management services for interns working for the grant funded program.
  • Hire and train staff to work under the grant funded program.
  • Assist with oversight of grant program including organizing outreach activities, maintaining community partnerships, data collection
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary and appropriate by the Program and Center Director.

Shift

Monday-Thursday 11am-8pm and Friday 10am-7pm with the option to work Saturdays instead of one of the week days.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work and relevant licensure (or eligible to be licensed within 12 months) within the State of Missouri.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in counseling or related field from an accredited program and relevant licensure (or eligible to be licensed within 12 months) within the State of Missouri.
  • Training in Play Therapy techniques
  • Two of years of post-graduate experience
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Three or more years providing clinical services.
  • Experience working with culturally diverse clients
  • Registered Play Therapist
Anticipated Hiring Range

Pay commensurate with education and experience.
Hiring Range: $55,000-$60,000 annually
Grade: GGS-010
