The Department of Psychology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) College of Arts & Sciences invites applications for two in-person Visiting Lecturer positions in Psychology beginning no later than August 1, 2023. This is a nine-month position, with the potential of renewal for an additional year based on performance, Departmental needs, and the availability of funding. We will not consider candidates wishing to teach fully remote.
The ideal candidate should have a record of outstanding teaching at the collegiate level and hold at least an MS in Psychology. The candidate should be able to cover a variety of core undergraduate courses, including at least one large (250 student) in-person section of Introductory Psychology, and Research Methods, or Statistics.
Candidates (application link here) should also have the ability to teach courses such as Learning & Motivation, Cognitive Psychology, Biopsychology, Systems of Psychology, Psychopathology, Personality, Positive Psychology, and Individual Differences. This position will primarily consist of in-person/face-to-face instruction at the UTC campus. However, candidates should also be willing to engage in a variety of instructional modalities, including asynchronous online instruction.

The Department of Psychology at UTC (www.utc.edu/psychology), one of the largest majors in the College of Arts & Sciences, has 18 full-time faculty members with over 800 undergraduate majors and 50+ graduate students in the Psychological Sciences and I-O Psychology MS Programs.
